For about a week now I had been bombarding my Mom with not-so-subtle hints that I wanted an iPad. God, I WANT AN iPad. Such a kewl gadget. I know it's a long shot, but I plan on buying myself one when I get a job (a really long shot since I am unemployed and even if I do get a job someday I wouldn't get so much pay, so yeah).
This morning I went to my parents' bedroom and my Mom said something like this: "The iPad is so expensive. Your dad says it costs more that 60000 yen." I know it is just a statement to tell me that I should maybe stop drooling for one since I couldn't afford it and my parents would rather spend the money on something important. Knowing my Mom and Dad, it means they actually considered giving me one but decided not to because it was too expensive and it wasn't necessary. I did not get what I want, but still... I was touched. That's just my parents-- they always try to give me (and my siblings) what we want. If I get to be a parent someday I would definitely copy that quality. Spoiling their kids as much as they can, I mean.
