Since the last book of the Twilight Saga was released here in the Philippines last Monday, everybody seems to know who Stephenie Meyer is.
She is the author of the book series that made me forget that I am a college student. She is the creator of Edward Cullen, the best boyfriend in the world of, well, fiction.
I must confess that I am one of the millions who read the Twilight Saga. I read it not because it's popular, but because of the story. Its just sad that it was just recently that I read the books. I remember seeing them at the local bookstore but I ignored them, thinking that the novel is made of cheesy horror stuff and the cover scared me. But now, the books belonging to Twilight Saga are always out of stock.
One thing that worries me is that the "craze" is happening as the opening of the Twilight movie comes closely. It could be that there are people who read Twilight just because it's gonna be as popular as Harry Potter some months from now..
I'm thinking of strategic marketing.
